Just a short scenic drive from the city takes guests to the picturesque valley of Hout Bay, Cape Town. Stunning beaches, mountains and forests as well as a colourful market in the village, await discovery.
Located at the foot of Chapman’s Peak drive is Hout Bay, Cape Town. The village has a mix of curios, quaint shops, bistros and restaurants, a small working harbour and an attractive bay.
Victoria Road takes guests over a mountain pass and onto a string of beautiful beaches, clustered with trendy homes and eateries before reaching the V&A Waterfront. Chapman’s Peak drive climbs in the opposite direction, descending into another delightful valley and seaside suburbs on the way to Cape Point.
Travelling over Constantia Nek, guests can head off to Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens or onto a number of wine estates. Between August and November, whales gather along the coastline and there are wonderful viewing points close to Hout Bay Manor.
Drive west along port approach road towards N2, keep in the right lane. Drive across the bridge onto the N2 Settlers Way, drive along Settlers Way going west. Continue past exits 15, 14, 11, 10 and 8. After intersection 8 you will go under a bridge. Keep in the left lane and take exit 6, turning left onto the slip road to the M3. Continue along the M3 Rhodes drive, continue past exit 7. Pass the University of Cape Town on the right. Continue past exit 8. The road now becomes Union Avenue. Move over and stay in the right lane. At the next traffic light turn right (Kirstenbosch).
Follow M63 Rhodes Avenue. Pass Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens on the right continue on to a stop street. Turn right and continue along M63 Rhodes Avenue to reach a large traffic circle at Constantainek. Take the 2nd left out of the traffic circle. Continue along M63 Hout Bay Road, travelling downhill to reach the next traffic circle. Continue across the traffic circle into M6 main road. Continue along M6 main road. Pass the Shell fuel station on the left. The next road before the traffic circle is Andrews. Turn left and immediately right into Baviaanskloof Road and continue until reaching Hout Bay Manor on the left.
