The Mount Nelson Hotel boasts 6 individual wings, separated from the main hotel, each with its own unique character, private gardens and facilities. Each of the suites and rooms are individually furnished, with modern amenities provided.
Rooms
Superior Rooms:
The Superior Rooms are spacious and elegant, ideal for both leisure and business travellers. Guests can comfortably be entertained in a mini-lounge area and a writing desk, complete with stationery.
All rooms have an en-suite bathroom which vary in size depending on the location of the room; equipped with shower, bath, basin and lavatory. The rooms have a choice of twin or king sized beds and some have a balcony.
Deluxe Rooms:
Deluxe Rooms have an understated old-world charm, complemented by modern luxury for the discerning traveller. These are larger in size, with more spacious sitting areas and en-suite bathrooms. Deluxe Rooms also offer a choice of twin or king-size beds with a view choice of the magnificent gardens, Table Mountain or a balcony overlooking a tinkling fountain courtyard.
Guests can comfortably be entertained in a mini-lounge area, writing desk, complete with stationery, which is ideal for catching up on correspondence. All rooms have an en-suite bathroom which vary in size depending on the location of the room; equipped with shower, bath, basin and lavatory. Interconnecting rooms are available on request.
Suites
Junior Suites:
Junior Suites comprise of a bedroom with a larger lounge area than the rooms. Some of the Junior Suites offer a separate lounge whilst others offer an open plan lounging area.
An option of twin or king-size beds are offered with the choice of views ranging from landscaped gardens, Table Mountain, a private courtyard with fountain or a private garden overlooking one of the swimming pools.
Deluxe Junior Suites
Light and airy, the Deluxe Junior Suites have a spacious bedroom with a luxury marble bathroom and an open-plan lounge area. They have king beds and offer views of the manicured gardens.
Accessible Suites
There are 2 purpose built Luxury Rooms to accommodate and meet the special needs of physically disabled guests. The bathrooms have been adapted with wider bathroom doors, a low sink and bath with handrails and open cupboards for easy access. The shower, with a movable showerhead, has been left open, with a chair for convenience.
Classic Suites
Classic Suites are grander and more distinctive, offering spacious open-plan lounges and dining areas. With the option of twin or king-size beds and views of either Table Mountain or a courtyard fountain, all have private courtyards or balconies with garden furniture.
All the suites feature renovated, luxurious marble bathrooms with walk-in dressing rooms. Selected suites also offer a kitchenette / wet bar with small microwave, hotplate, sink and general kitchen utensils. These Executive Suites are ideal for families travelling with small children.
Deluxe Suites
The Deluxe Suites offer grand living at its finest. These magnificently furnished suites feature an entrance hall, large lounge, dining room and master bedroom with en-suite bathroom. They are all very spacious and have spectacular views of the garden, pool or Table Mountain. A guest cloakroom is provided and selected suites also have a wet bar with small microwave, hotplate, sink and general kitchen utensils.
Presidential Suite
Graham Viney's theme of soft hues and silky luxurious fabrics is continued in the suite; using white, cream and grey as the main colours, which take their cue from the hand painted panels of framed scenic wallpaper. The luxurious Penthouse at The Mount Nelson Hotel encompasses a stylish marbled entrance hall, a large lounge leading onto a private balcony with beautiful views of Table Mountain, guest toilet and cloakroom, a private dining-room and master bedroom with en-suite bathroom. The room also has a wet bar facility, complete with a microwave, stove, washbasin and general kitchen utensils.
The 1930s light fittings have exquisite baccarat crystal drops and the desk is the original Louis-style desk from the hotel's lounge when it first opened in 1899. Mercury glass bedside lamps and a Venetian mirror complete the romantic and decadently lavish interior.

Garden Cottage Suites
A row of 8 beautiful restored, historic cottages offer a luxurious home away from home. Each cottage is positioned behind a scented rose garden, enclosed by a charming picket fence ensuring privacy. They feature 4-poster beds and luxury marble bathrooms, making them the perfect haven for honeymooners or couples on a romantic getaway. Features include separate living and dining areas, wet bars, mini-libraries and enclosed patios.
